Max, my bike is same spec as yours re abs, and likewise no washer at the wheel. Last bike was 1100s non abs- no washer, before that 1100rs with abs - had a washer at the rear wheel. I see a pattern....

Rule of thumb here is apply rear brake, if play still evident it's the pivot bearings, if play stops it's the final drive "big" bearing, or quite possibly both. .:*sip*
