I have 2 sets of wheels one spoked for off road and one mag for longer road trips (with tires for reapective use). Very convenient when you have rotors and ABS rings on them it's a 10 minute swap.

If it came with a wall charger, check the output of that as a start. Most Garmin wall chargers I have seen put out 1A at 5V.

the feature that allows you to save maps from Google Maps (GM) has been changed with the latest version.

if you have a Google account you have to open "My Maps" and then create a new map....

+1 they wear quickly even on light bikes. They will be very short lived on a heavy bike especially on tarmac.
They do work well here in the Rockies though for trail riding.

to answer part of my own question...

Rode through today, road is open but still temporary, good dirt, wet and a bit slimy in places. Did not go down Rist, but Stove Prairie to 14. Nice and clear, just some sand.
