I had that problem, solved with Rox Risers 2" adjustables, brought the bars toward me. Ricor's solved the front end dive during hard braking. Add an Airhawk and it becomes a different bike, trust me

I went with a low seat on my 650, not lowered. No loss of weigh carrying capacity. Room for an Airhawk cushion on the stock low seat. I use an Alaskian Leather pad now but am saving for the Airhawk.

I laughed when I saw your work space. Just like mine, even the thermos, except yours is cleaner. I also work in a basement (old fallout shelter) for the goverment. Same story with riding friends too....
