Same problem....

I had to replace the shock tube along with the upper bearing. (newer spherical bearing in there now) The piston had worn a horizontal groove at one end of the tube because the shock was not in line...

I don't really know if'n it's just the seals.... There is a"crap flap" in front of the rear tyre, but not in front of the schlock. All of the fluid leaked out during the last few days of my trip. ...

Side stand

I just laid my bike on the ground, attached a "cheater pipe" to the side stand changed the angle a little bit. Works fine, costs nothing.

Leave the center stand at home.....
