Check the clutch cable freeplay as noted above. CS is countershaft sprocket. Put the bike in gear and turn the rear wheel. Does the shaft the front sprocket is mounted on turn with the sprocket?

^This...just keep away from seals and obviously air intakes. Most wands have an adjustable pattern, 0 degrees will remove paint but if you keep it wide it will do a great job.
