They have to be replaced yearly anyway. I did a thorough cleaning of my bike yesterday and the battery strap is already dry rotted. One year old, almost to the day.

All of their locks start out like that. They work in after some use. I wouldn't recommend using oil in the locks. Only use graphite. Oil will gunk them up.

It's impossible to choose between tents based on function and form. They all are excellent choices. MSR, Marmot, Big Agnes, and the list goes on. I finally just narrowed my choice down to a 2P tent...
