Wind noise in helmet

I ride a R1200ST with a Shoei RF900 and have alot of wind noise up thru the bottom of my helmet which comes off the windshield. When I block the gap below my chin, it quiets every thing and the roar...

I am not Jim, but I had to take the side panels...

I am not Jim, but I had to take the side panels off first because they clip into the center panel. Center panel held on by gas cap ring. Tank is plastic as well.

Best mod I did to my ST was to cut the windscreen down to next to nothing. The fairing still work great and the air over the bike was really clean and free of turbulance. I liked the way it looked...
