If the transmission is having problems or being opened for other reason's then yes add the C clip. If you would like to Lighten your wallet then I would recommend...

battery tested good -

battery tested good after charge - load tested shows good 12.4 volts.

pulled the relays and cleaned, cleaned rotor checked connections cleaned battery terminal. Gen light is on very dim above...

Cars / Motorcycles - never have used any sealant on the head gasket.

Combustion chamber area should use no sealant - maybe around Cam chain area - but I have not done any newer (2005) head gasket...

Fairing is worth a lot of money if marketed correctly - it is a great cat hide out.

Reseat the cap -

I would reseat the cap and stake it or weld a washer in there to keep it from moving - U-joint caps fall off if not retained.
