Not a big deal on "most" routes. Just have a solid plan, that's all. No worries as far as Dawson Creek really, but don't take gas for granted, north of mile 0 as the gas stops are small family...

So don't - take highway 22 north out of Calgary all the way to Drayton Valley and then join Highway 43 at Mayerthorpe. It's a much better route.
