I really think it's an overblown issue much like everything else. I ride my 2007 Roadglide to its limit quite a bit on the curves, etc and I am not feeling all kinds of slop and flex with no brace....

It's not full of oil though, that's a rock to keep the pan from blowing away. The 4 speed drips a little out of the main seal....
