1995 GS at 60K leaking seal. Replaced seal and final drive
bearing with same shim. 6K later leaking and wobbling rent
truck last 250 miles of trip to make it home to Idaho.

Well the crunchy stuff inside is a spring to keep it from collapsing.
I discovered this because it already had a tear in it. It pulls straight out
from the fuel pump...one learns a lot by taking...

Thanks though maybe I need another SAE intermediate as nothing is
fitting tight enough. Do you recall the size you used and was it a six pointer?
This is a 95 gs...might they have changed the bolt...

Very helpful post....two questions
1. flywheel bolts seem a loose fit for 17 mm and too big for 16 mm?
2. Do they need to be heated due to red lock tite?
