I can only think that they did not import the ZX14 ABS as it would be seen as 'overlap' with the Concours 14. But other markets, like Europe, have both - so I guess I still don't understand!

I agree that offering ABS as an option would be great. The ZX14 in Europe (ZZR1400) has the option of ABS brakes - I can only imagine that they think ABS on the ZX14 would overlap with the Concours...

Yes - the KTM heated grips plug directly into the ACC outlet behind the dash. It is so easy that even I managed it! Use the ACC outlet that is switched so that it is impossible to leave them on.

I have an 07 ADV and an 08 SD. ADV definitely is tuned for more low end but still has plenty of top end. It also has always felt smoother to me (at least below 5,000 rpm), despite the knobbly tyres.
