I haven't bought anything through the KTM dealer, but he seems like a very nice guy. His daughter is/was the state dirt bike champ, and he seems to know his stuff about all things bike related.

I haven't done it, but apparently not. There is meant to be enough wiggle room once tank, coils, etc are off to get the head and the barrel off. It's only the crankcase that needs engine out.
