Shure makes some good options

I've had good luck with the Shure products. I had the EC2's in the past and just replaced them with the SE215's. The audio quality is very good and they are not stupid expensive ( about $130 bucks)...

I've had mine for a year ( 2011 bought it barely used) and in 10,000 miles has not had a hiccup. The motor pulls like a tractor and just sounds soooo sweet ( trident can). Not sure about longevity...
