Unless they've changed the installation since I put mine on in 2013, you're missing the intermediate pipe between the header and the can. the stock guard fits fine on mine.

Biggest problem is letting it sit overnight at my shop so that the temp is cold lol.

The rocker bearings are what wear. If the clearances open up, get larger, it's a good time to check the bearing for play under load.
