My 2011 990 bearing failed on the rear {brake side} at about 3500 mi.
froze to the axle. It was warranty they replaced bearings and axle.
The part that sucked was I was about 20mi. from home and...

wheel bearing went and froze to the axle about 3500
mile fixed under warrenty. rode about 20 mile at 10 MPH
to get home

on my other bike had same problem turned out metal
filings where the spoke holes got drilled out.

spacer and spindle. but they couldn't give me any reason why. was there a bad
