I bought my 2005 950s to use off road. There is about 70 km of Tarmac on my local rides until I get started but then unsealed roads, twin track and single track. Sand gets a go every so often as well.

Cleaning the ignition switch seems to have fixed my erratic starting. It got worse over last weekend after riding a reasonable depth of muddy water on a forestry trail.
