I owned both, and kept the 07RT because it's less top-heavy feeling, has non-wizzy brakes, and has better power. I also don't have to remove bodywork to change the oil.

One that hasn't been mentioned is Don Weber at Mr Ed's Moto. He's in Albany Oregon and does great work. I think if you tried a search, you'd be hard pressed to find one complaint about his product...

I left the wheel together and glass bead blasted the hub, cleaned the spokes with a scotchbrite pad, and polished the rim with Mother's Billet Polish. It came out great!

Ok..after those photos, I'm convinved I need a portable media blaster. Probably soda? It seems to be the safest and easiest to clean up after. My hubs aren't near as bad as the photos above.

I'm trying a Dremel with a wire brush and some patience. So far, it seems to be doing the trick. Maybe some acetone when I'm done to clean it all up.

I already bought the new fork lock and had it rekeyed to match the ignition/seat locks.

The Duane A link above shows the way to drill it out. I'll likely be trying that later today.
