Wrong! The Yamaha WR250R has a steel tank and a plastic cover. I cant speak for the others, but as far as I know, only off road bikes can legaly have plastic tanks.

Stickers, and or paint wont stick to that tank (sorry) the fuel permeates through the tank and makes it impossible to keep stickers or any type of graphics on the tank.

All I can say is: I gave my DR650 to my step son after riding the WR250R. I am 6'3" and 250lbs and the bike is basically stock. I don't need more power. This is a really great bike.

After more checking, I see that they just made one owners manual for all WRRs. They just added the "C" to cover the cali parts.
