You could remove old throttle grip/tube and cut off the grip. Then slide on the new one, you will probably need to glue it. That's what I would do to avoid buying a new tube.

Those of us with the Kientech mod have no airbox lid. I think the water drips down the tank, under the seat, and into the airbox. Not 100% sure about this.
