Those washers aren't meant for mounting the rack. They are only there to attach the lock it fasteners to the rack. They hold the fasteners on so when you unlock the rack, the fasteners don't fall off...

Look into euro companies is my suggestion. Dainese and Held specifically, then Alpinestars which is a slightly less "euro" cut but still fits well. These companies make the most form fitting gear...

I've heard nothing but good things on the TKC80 on how it handles on the road. I wouldn't worry.

But I know for a fact, the Heidenau handles the road just as good as the stock Pirellis.
