We're talking GS, not GSA as a comparison to the MS12. The GS is a lot lighter with cast wheels, a smaller tank and minimal skid protection. It also has a lighter flywheel for better response.

There isn't a 50hp difference. Rear wheel HP on the WC GS is 115 and on the MS12 it's 130 (according to most recent dyno numbers).

There is a 45hp difference between an MS12 and my GSA (85whp)...

You may have discovered the issue in your case but the symptoms that you describe are exactly the way my bike acted with a Shorai battery in cold weather. Going to an Odyssey battery solved the issue.

Sounds like you really want an RT (or a GS)...the ST is meant to be more sporty and it will never be as comfortable as those bikes. My GSA is the most comfortable bike I have ever owned.
