My current bike, a 2005 FZ1 (named FZS 1000 Fazer in Europe).
Much easier to ride than I thought, much faster than my previous VFR in normal road trips, much better fuel consumption... great bike.

Automatic/manual transmission, good torque, reasonably cheap... you have to enjoy the look...

Go with Michelin Pilot Road 3.

I had PR2 and they were fine (10500 km with lot of highway ride).
Then I tried Pirelli Angel ST, no good in rain, they lasted only 6000 km.

In fact the best results are with the low Yamaha original screen, low buffeting and low noise (but... lot of bugs... and cold).
But maybe there is BIG screen that works... for the long trips....

The Givi screen creates a lot of noise and air turbulences...

Apart from RT (whose comfort at winter is imho the best), Moto Guzzi Stelvio is a great bike.

I had the VFR, as allround bike to me the FZ1 is a better (easier)...
