I have Showa twin chamber units in mine "CR250".. done what you have but also shortened the travel to 240mm as 300mm of travel on a bike with 230mm of clearance...

but Rekluse don't make them for either of these 2 models...
The XT660R has a WR450 unit in it & the TTR250 has a WR/YZF250
unit in it......
