So, if I can go 430 on 16 litres, I'd go 590 on 22 litres! Looks like the F650 gets better mpg than a KLR? That's at a pretty steady 110 kph. ...

I have the AltRider tank bag. It's very secure. Zippers on to it's mount, which is quite secure. Not concerned about my tank getting scuffed at all, as the bag mount will live there full time.
