If the lights are flashing one and then the other I think your problem is a weak battery. I had the exact symptoms and a new battery cured it. Funny thing was the bike always started up perfectly

If it's an 02 then it probably does not have the high flow head and the updated roller bearing unless the roller bearing has been updated by the previous owner. Ask to see proof that it was done

NC is one of the few states that have to have the sellers signature notarized. They don't care about the buyers signature. The bike also can not say for offraod use only anywhere on the title.
