Can anybody explain how brake rotors get warped? The only way I've heard of is if you are doing a lot of hard braking so the rotor and the pads get warm, then you come to a stop and hold your brakes...

I'm sorry, this advice is not helpful, but just a reminder that BMW includes a thin wall plug wrench in the bike's tool kit. I've never found an aftermarket socket that can replace it.
