I use the Wolfman explorer lite. It's a bit large for the woods but does well for dual sport stuff. There's a pic of it on the bike in the smugmug link below. Not cheap but well made.

They should fit fine, no worries. The only aftermarket silencer that is LC8 model specific, to my knowledge, is the Neptune due to it's mounting hardware on the subframe.

Bill, sorry I didn't answer your question in my first reply. Yes, they should fit a non-katoom just fine. They are your typical grips, smaller diameter for the non throttle, larger for the throttle....
