I may be wrong but your response above caught my eye, and that is on a twin spark bike there is only ONE coil set under the tank, those fire the lower plugs, the ones almost underneath the cyl heads....

Max, my bike is same spec as yours re abs, and likewise no washer at the wheel. Last bike was 1100s non abs- no washer, before that 1100rs with abs - had a washer at the rear wheel. I see a pattern....

Don't know if this helps, when i replaced my throttle cables three years ago, i removed the fast idle cables altogether. Keeping it in sharp tune and balance i find starting and idling no more...
