I've shipped a several (5?) bikes from Seattle but the bikes were in the area. I used KGM (http://www.kgmcycletransport.com/)in Kent WA to crate and deliver to shipper to AK, still not inexpensive....

AGM type batteries like the Odyssey, indoors...

I'm assuming this is the south-bound part of your trip. If you're trying to keep the cost down then the best options for boarding are Haines or Skagway. Look at your route to decide which is best....
