That's why these are good. They don't unscrew themselves and are easy to adjust. Even easier if you mount it up like I have rather than to one of the fuel bowl screws.

The bike could have a different carby than stock-for example FCR MX or TM40. Your problem could be Carby/Choke/enrichment circuit related....
