FWIW, the FJ9 had a lot less crap in the oil at 30 miles than the last two bikes I broke in this way (Kawasaki & Suzuki).

I rode both before buying the FJ... with ABS/TCS/bags, better suspension and a fairing for a couple grand more, it's a no-brainer.

To me, it's not really an ADV bike, it's a modern UJM.
