The big thing is to avoid any oil that has friction modifiers, as this will make you clutch slip.

Hmm... seem to remember it is DC on the RM.. I had one years ago, and swapped out the normal bulb for a H4 90/100W. Alternator handled the extra no problems.

Parts are available on ebay as well, so leaky gaskets and seals can be replaced easily.
I use coleman fuel in mine, it keeps well and does not gum up....
