I'm no expert, but there are limits to u-joint angles, and life span plummets as angles increase. Shaft speed is a factor also.

Again, I'm not really sure, but I think early BMW Dakar bikes...

I have a 96 360 that after some tuning is great in the woods. Flywheel weight and trials throttle made the biggest differences. Grunt of a trials bike with the top end of an open class mx'er.

There were some neutral switches where the bared (and tinned IIIRC) wire end was trapped by spring tension. Think of a bolt with a washer and spring between the bolt head and nut. Now imagine a hole...
