Stanza software is free and you can import ebooks as text documents then export them in other formats. Don't know if it will work with mobi but it works great putting pdf docs on my ipod touch worth...

got the upgrade, still has the bug. garmin is telling me that it is my computer...so i broke out my laptop that didnt have mapsource, installed 6.15.6 and it crashes too.
