My bike was eating some oil when new. Replaced at 1000 miles with semisynth and then at 5000 with Rottela full synthetic.
Level stopped dropping around 4 kmiles, and I ride hard, mostly backroads....

Suspension. If you want to ride it hard it 's lacking, but fixable. Ohlins has full kit, just budget it. Everything else is great for average size guy.

Just coming of very happy 40kmiles on 950 I can tell you that you dont need to use orange motorex - shell rottela works much better and cost 28$ for 4 liters. And no oil lost with clutch replacement...

Went for 200 mile ride yesterday, new forks are in,but with stock shock. Ohlins is in the mail somewhere.
Shifting is definitely improving, so I think it's just break in in issue.
