Yep, the sixth gear in the 1150 was great above 80, but the five speed in the 1100 was also great above 75. It was unfortunate the RS's were under appreciated, very fine bikes. I have not ridden one...

I would recommend a Gortex shell. Mine is a Moose Racing, wear it over chest protector and elbow gaurds. Works great, has lot of vents and pockets. If it rains, you are ready to go!
