Update
Got the exhaust on (finally). Install was a snap - took a little over 2 hours total (first exhaust install), including removing plastic/bits. Everything lined-up/fit perfectly & there was no hassle...

I had an '09 that was built early in the year (Feb). It never burned a drop of oil and I never had a blinker fall off. The rubber bits do suck, though. The KLR650 is a great bike for the price.
