This is pretty negligent of the folks that make the CoPilot iOS app. It's not like Apple doesn't forewarn of such changes/restrictions. In fact, they are quite good at it.

Add a via point(s) to avoid the diversion. I've found in the past that these are caused by inaccurate maps. Make sure there's actually roads in the area you are attempting to pass through.
