My bike sometimes gets the "high idle" -bug if I start riding immediately after starting warm engine. If engine is warm and I let it idle for 20 - 30 s after start, it idles ok.

I did it to my -06. Haven't yet rode it but it seems to idle ok with 2011 akramap values. Exhaust note sounds a bit different.

I adjusted valve clearances according to original specs.

I don't know if using E85 makes your bike any more eco friendly. Probably just the opposite like you said. Only thing I know is that it's a bit cheaper here.
-RE85 1,07 € / litre, $5,35 / gallon....

On my "touring" wheels I like the Michelin T63 better than all the rest. On "not so touring" wheels I like the Metzler Unicross to be the best so far.

I have had that kind of problem. Usually it happens when engine is hot and I take off immediately after starting the engine. It helps if you let the engine idle for few seconds before you take off....
