Bike is riding at 90km/k, i guess that amount of fuel is enough to redline it in neutral.
I would look for vacuum leaks or tps issues.

The link plate fits really tight so a little over the hole diameter is enough....

Good enough. I've used mainly 10w mineral hydraulic oil (that kind used for machinery) but i've also used "unknown viscosity used fork oil" and 15w50 motor oil without noticeable differencies.

Your MC will probably need to be resleeved, but an oil change might stop the leak for a while. YMMV

I rode for many many km with a leaking MC (worn out)...
