Spun bearing :(. Yep would have preferred not but as motor swaps go it was pretty easy. Only motor I can picture hefting into place with no help. I think my bike had a hard previous life.

Theory on your mpg: Air is less dense up high, less air = less fuel, less fuel = better mpg. You were probably down on power a bit but just didn't really notice it.
