ok another bump i guess, i took off the head...
ok another bump i guess, i took off the head again and found that the cam "tappet" was at 2:30 rather then 1 o'clock. I adjusted it and then let the gasket sealer cure. Then i hit the kick starter...

it also looks like my spark plug boot is...
it also looks like my spark plug boot is "defective", the thing wont fit onto a spark plug that has the nipple screwed on, the ngk that i put in has just the threaded portion connecting to the plug...
