Got the same Honda generator. The valves (for some reason) get loose and need adjustment- unlike the bikes. Were the valves ever checked? I think Honda told me they set them at .005"

+1 for the little carb bikes changing elevation. Tach and remote fuel screw adjuster are sweet for fine tuning. Helps mileage some. I'm with lamo- a tach man.

US Gasoline outlets are rated as Tier 1 for additives in their fuels, mostly a strict 10% ethanol content, and lots of 'cleaner' additives. Tier one fuels alone are good.
