I've found that from the left side of the bike, the dipstick tends to crossthread. But if you try it from the right side you seem to have a better angle and it goes in much easier. Maybe its just me?...

Gas Tank Problem

This has to be the worst question of all time. While pulling the panels off my Terra to look into performing the air filter fix, I dropped a T15 Torx bit down into the gas tank??? Anyone been far...

Yeah, I tried that, it does move the pedal up-down but doesn't affect the lite switch. I just touch the pedal and the lite comes on, maybe they are all that way? Thanks.

Anyone tried to adjust their brake light switch on the foot brake? Mine is super sensitive to the touch. I would like a little more play before the light came on. I don't see a link anywhere for this...

Fork seals

My left fork started leaking and dripping on the floor after about 100 miles. My dealer replaced the seal under warranty and no problems so far after 1000 miles.

Turn Signals 2013 800GS

It looks to me like you could buy the rear signal mounting bracket, $15, and use it on the front to pull the signals in almost to the fairing. I haven't tried it yet but will soon. :D

I had them on my 09' F650GS and loved them. I totaled the bike in July when a car turned in front of me and ripped the front wheel off. The bags survived intact and I now use them on my new 13'...

I didn't have the enhanced bracket on my F650, had 21000 miles and no problems without it. I'll try the W/S on the 800 later this week. Thanks for the info. :D

Did you say that the Cee Bailey W/S from the old 800GS will not fit the 2013 GS? I have an 18" CB W/S that survived when I totaled my 09' F650GS and it appears that it will fit my new blue 800GS....

The seat is a Seat Concepts cover. Better than stock but still not a long distance touring seat. Good for the price, I think it was $160.:D

You can buy the separate parts of the Varios that are used to attach them to the bike. You may be able to adapt them to a set of Pelicans. It would take some work though.:clap

Here is a photo, it is 11" long and 1/2" high. The 3-8-08 is a seperate decal and was supposed to be the USA intro date, but it never happened. Hope this helps.
