It is important to use a one way valve on that cap. Since I don't have the canister for the overflow I plugged that side hole and installed a regular tank one way vent with nipple.

Mine was grabby to the point of killing the bike in turns. I slid the Master Cylinder all the way back. No change to the lever level. I now go down much further before engaging. :D
