I run a stock shock that was rebuilt, revalved and resprung. I think by Jim Lindemann, but he's gone now... other suspension guys could rebuild yours as well...

TT600 has a few small differences to make them...

TT600 has a few small differences to make them lighter & rev faster. Aluminum cylinder liner instead of steel in the XT, 1mm smaller crank pin, lighter rotor, smaller stator (^V instead of 12V), etc....

If the previous owner didn't replace any parts, increasing the spring preload on the shock should raise the rear of the bike. If he replaced anything, just go back to stock.

It's a lot of work, but can be done. I put a XT600E engine in a kick-start '86 SRX-6.

You would need the entire XT600E engine and wiring harness (the ignition systems are completely different)....
