Just got back last night from a one-week, 1,900 mile trip. There were a few stretches of slab on the route and it was awesome for that. Not like real cruise control, obviously, but real nice to take...

Replacement Fuse for Garmin

So I'm on day 3 of an 8-day trip with my dad and the fuse on my hardwired Garmin blew. It's a teeny little 1 amp fuse. I tried Autozone, Radio Shack, and Wal Mart to no avail.

I'm in Independence,...

The stretch of 94 between Willow Run and 275 is the worst, absolute worst stretch for cops. The Romulus PD patrols in innocuous-looking Chargers and Magnums (yes, the wagons). They're ruthless, and...

Too late! We've got this thing torn down pretty far. The only reason I haven't sent it out so far is to keep the rebuild cost reasonable -- I'd like to pay only for parts and keep the labor free....

I agree! Honest mistake made by a knowledgable guy, no biggie. It's a good excuse to upgrade, and I got a good enough deal on the bike to begin with that even with the rebuild, I'm still doing okay.

Rebuilding a DR-Z 400

In October, I picked up my first dirtbike, a DR-Z 400. It's a 2000, and it's the kicker model. After, oh, about 15-20 miles of riding, the engine made a loud clatter and died. The kickstarter...
