It is a matter of opinion, but my 950 seems to start better with Iridiums, but it's not a night and day difference, after 9,000 miles they never look worn at all.

Are they worth the extra????

Utterly pointless IMO, running the engine at 4000 revs in neutral without load makes no difference to setting at idle, the butterflies will be next to nothing off their stops, nothing like 4,000 revs...

Don't bother with a helicoil, I did the same 10,000 miles ago, just tap out for a 6mm bolt, loads of meat in the casting, no issue's at all since doing it.

My original 5 amp fuse used to blow occasionally with the heated grips on, eventually figured out it was the carb heaters switching on at the same time as the grips...

The front sprocket nut on my 950 kept coming loose despite using new washers, properly torqued and staked over. Just use a bit of blue loctite as well now and not happened again.
