I doubt that would even be possible. For awhile there it seemed like every guys with a garage and a welder was kicking out hideous excuses for motorcycles.

Looks can be deceiving. Can Am was definitely ahead of its time when they started out in the early seventies but by about '79 they weren't doing a very good job at keeping up with chasis technology...

Its actually just an air chamber. the black rubber knob pulls off, its just a cover to protect the inlet valve...same as a tire valve. I'm not sure why they thought they needed this big chamber added...

Finally got it home

Got it home awhile ago and have been working away at the few bits that needed attention. I've got it pretty much like new now. Just has the wrong right side engine cover...it should say BOMBARDIER...
